Bringing employees along in change processes is an essential factor for the success of a company’s transformation. How can this be achieved? Here are the 3 top learnings from our change projects:
1. Create clarity
People want to know what is going on: explain why the transformation is important, what you want to achieve and how you can achieve it together.
Everyone should know the why, what and how.
2. Involve employees
Allowing people to participate in the development of the company not only increases their connection to the company and commitment to the project, but is also a source of ideas and possibilities that management alone may not have thought of.
3. Offer (individual) support
People have different backgrounds, experiences, levels of knowledge and skills. A piecemeal approach cannot do justice to this. Company-wide offers such as training or individual leadership work can help to pick up individuals where they are and from there develop them further as well as support them in the challenges faced in change.
In a digital transformation and introduction of new tools, one group may already know the tools and be able to learn how to use them quickly. Another group may not have had any contact or interest and find it more difficult.
Incidentally, these 3 objectives are also the reason why our clients use Change Big Pictures. The visualisation of change can be used to help employees to co-create, get an overview of the background and goals, and learn which offers can be used for implementation and/or address challenges.
We are happy to show you what this can look like in concrete terms and how we can support your change project, with example projects from our clients. You can request information by email and pdf at any time HERE or at contact@big-pictury.com.
