EEW recently celebrated its 150th anniversary: the company, based in Helmstedt, emerged from the Braunschweigische Kohlen-Bergwerke AG (BKB) and its history goes back to the year 1 Today, EEW employs more than 1,400 people and is one of Europe’s leading companies in the field of thermal waste recycling, with locations in Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
Task – Making Digitization Tangible
For EEW, digitization is a central pillar and core topic of both the past years and the future. In addition to sustainability, digitization in waste management is becoming increasingly important.
In order to live up to its market-leading role here as well, EEW is pursuing a long-term initiative to integrate digitization into daily work and life, as well as a targeted transformation on the way to becoming a digital service provider. In addition to strengthening digital skills and the associated empowerment of employees, this also includes the design and optimization of various work processes and the promotion of digital innovations. After the successful graphical implementation of the corporate strategy with Big Pictury, this topic has now also been visualized.
